Not every fighter can fly on a private jet like Conor McGregor. Other fighters don’t have such a lavish budget and often travel on commercial flights. However, after several complaints from big-time UFC fighters, a specific airline would be less preferred among UFC. The Airline in question is American Airlines who have received disgruntled reactions from Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier and middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.
Former UFC double division champion Daniel Cormier is one of the octagon’s most skilled and dominant fighters. DC was the second person to achieve the double champ status after Conor McGregor. Cormier retired after his loss to Stipe Miocic in 2020 and started coaching his wrestling team and other fighters at AKA. However, DC is still an essential part of the UFC. After his recent tweet, Cormier revealed not every traveling experience remains awesome.
Daniel Cormier shared his experience of using American Airlines on Twitter. The UFC Hall of Famer was severely displeased with the staff’s behavior and his flight cancellation.” I am literally in the worst experience. It’s unreal how horrific. The staff at SFO is behaving right now. I show up to my flight to find out my seat has been given away,” tweeted Daniel. The UFC Hall of Famer also revealed that former UFC fighter Paige Vanzant had issues with the same Airline.
UFC commentator and analyst Laura Sanko also chimed in with Cormier as she tweeted about her experience with the airline. People hating American Airlines grew even more when middleweight champion Israel Adesanya joined in blasting the Airline company.
Israel Adesanya loses suitcases while traveling with American Airlines
UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya expressed frustrations and trashed American Airlines for their awful services. According to Daniel, he had the worst possible experience with the American Airlines staff. Cormier found his seat was given away to another person. Instead of solving the issue, the staff ignored Cormier and made him miss his flight.
Cormier’s displeased rant about American Airlines has reverberated among the UFC fighters. Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya also came forward and tweeted his issue with American Airlines. Adesanya reportedly lost his suitcases during his journey to Puerto Rico. The middleweight champion was in Puerto Rico for his podcast with Logan Paul. He also mentioned that he lost his suitcases due to a minor issue and has been looking into the problem. After over three weeks, he has yet to receive the suitcases.
” I’m still waiting for my suitcases that never showed up to Puerto Rico to make it back to Auckland…that was 3.5 weeks ago. Filed the paperwork and all that. I have hope,” tweeted Adesanya. While Adesanya is still hopeful that his suitcases will return, his issue with the American Airline is also mirrored by a few fighters and commentators.
