“I’ve hacked my mind,” Israel Adesanya shockingly claims he ‘raised’ testosterone levels for Alex Pereira revenge
Israel Adesanya claims to raise his testosterone levels on command for his fight against Alex Pereira
Israel Adesanya managed to reclaim his middleweight title from Alex Pereira at UFC 287. After scoring a vicious second-round knockout over Alex Pereira Adesanya was in a euphoric state. The training camps, the determination, and the patience finally paid off after Adesanya reclaimed his belt. However, Adesanya also stated that a major reason for his win over Pereira was that he managed to raise his testosterone levels.
Israel Adesanya in his post-fight interview talked about all the things he did in his fight camp for UFC 287. Adesanya revealed that he had learned a lot about himself and his body in the weeks leading up to his fight. “I’ve hacked my body I’ve hacked my spirit I’ve hacked my mind. I’ve learned a lot about myself, I’ve learned how to raise my testosterone even with the mind,” said Adesanya explaining the journey leading up to the fight.
Adesanya also explained to achieve this he had to look in the mirror and unleash his ‘evil side’. “There are no good or bad people, people are just capable of greater good or greater evil. Tonight I had to get to that dark side and show him the evil side of me .”
Adesanya overcame some of the biggest hurdles physically and mentally in his fight against Pereira. UFC’s color commentator Jon Anik also called Adesanya a ‘mental giant ‘ and believes there might be some truth to his claims on testosterone.
The authenticity behind Adesanya’s statement is not verified but a few people may find it sketchy due to the fighter’s past. Adesanya was accused of using performance-enhancing drugs in his bout against Paulo Costa at UFC 253. Adesanya dismissed these accusations and blamed it on his weed intake.
The fighter was not flagged for any banned substance then and has never been flagged for it yet. Fair to say Israel Adesanya is truly the mental giant.
