The scenario in the middleweight division changed up really fast when Alex Pereira defeated Israel Adesanya. What seemed impossible in the middleweight division was accomplished. Now Adesanya is more than ready to claim his belt back as he looks heavily confident in his skillset entering UFC 287. However, Israel Adesanya isn’t the only one with confidence in himself. Israel Adesanya is also the betting favorite in his rematch against Alex Pereira. Seeing this self-confidence oozing from Adesanya, former NFL star Brandon Marshall in front of everyone, placed a bet of 100 thousand dollars on Israel Adesanya.
The incident took place on Friday when Marshall took part in the ESPN MMA interview backstage with Israel Adesanya. Marshall had a face-to-face meeting with Adesanya to let him know he supported him. Marshall, who had 100 thousand dollars, conveniently pulled it out of his bag.
Israel Adesanya after that mentioned, “You can bet that on me, and you’ll get your money back. I’m betting my life on this sh** for real.” Marshall, with no second thought, confidently announced that he is going all in with Adesanya. ” I’m riding with the king. You see it 100 thousand dollars. Let’s go,” said Marshall.
Israel Adesanya’s title match with Alex Pereira was a very close one. In one of the rounds, Alex was saved by the bell. Many believe Alex got lucky with the knockout and Adesanya won’t let it happen again. Famous rapper Drake, who previously lost 2 million betting against Alex Pereira, has bet on Israel yet again.
While Alex is an absolute monster in the octagon, the people have spoken. They have absolute faith in ‘the Last Stylebender’ and believe he gets it done. Israel will face Alex Pereira in what could potentially be the last match between them. Alex Pereira has announced that he won’t chase this rivalry any further and finish it once and for all. So, who will get the finish? Who will win big and who will lose it all? The only way to know is to wait for UFC 287.
Israel Adesanya’s on his unique-looking collar at UFC 287 press conference

Israel Adesanya is set to face ‘Alex Poatan Pereira’ in one of the most exciting rematches to take place in the UFC. The former middleweight champion is absolutely confident that he gets it done this time. During the UFC 287 event press conference, Israel talked about his mentality going into the fight and what he plans on accomplishing. However, Adesanya was spotted wearing an unusual collar during the conference.
When asked about the collar during the event, the stylebender called it a dog collar. “I’m a dog. It’s a dog collar and it’s about to be unleashed,” said Adesanya. However, with Adesanya, it’s about hidden references, and this time around he referenced Jet Li.
Israel Adesanya’s dog collar was inspired by the legendary Chinese actor Jet Li‘s 2005 movie ‘Unleashed’. The main character in the movie, Danny, wears a dog collar around his neck, and once it’s off, he becomes a skilled fighter who attacks his target relentlessly. Adesanya is 0-3 overall in his matches against Pereira. However, it’s safe to say that Israel Adesanya is not lacking confidence going into the UFC middleweight championship rematch against his arch-nemesis.
