Tim Simpson discussed potential future opponents for Israel Adesanya with Submission Radio. He’s considering matchups against emerging talents like Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev, both of whom have the opportunity to face Israel Adesanya.

Simpson clarified what’s next for Israel Adesanya after UFC 293. When the interviewer asked whether Dricus Du Plessis was next for “The Last Stylebender,” Simpson said, “Who is next? I think it is going to be Dricus”. He further clarified that the winner of Paolo Costa and Khamzat Chimaev could get the title shot after Du Plessis as the fight against the South African remains historic. Simpson is very confident of Adesanya’s chances against the other elite middleweights. He also explained about the documentary movie Stylebender starring Israel Adesanya.

Additionally, Simpson provided an update on the situation involving Leon Edwards and Colby Covington. Simpson said that the welterweight title bout would happen before the end of the year. He clarified that the UFC continued talks with both Edwards and Covington. The only delay in announcing was with respect to location. The chances are that it becomes a main event at UFC 296 or a co-main event at UFC 295.

Tim Simpson is one of the top managers in MMA. His client list includes Jack Della Maddalena, Max Holloway, Jiri Prochazka, and Leon Edwards, in addition to Israel Adesanya. Simpson previously worked under Audi Attar at Paradigm Sports.

Manel Kape Incident: Tim Simpson finds it funny, but Kai Kara-France did not

At the press conference, Kai-Kara France and Tim Simpson were asked about Manel Kape’s behavior. Simpson was interviewed by Submission Radio while Kai-Kara France attended the UFC Q&A preluding UFC 293. Dan Hooker and Justin Gaethje were the other fighters present with Kara-France.

Simpson found Manel Kape throwing the bottle funny and weird and said he should be worried about Felipe dos Santos and not Kara-France. “Don’t Blink” compared the incident to when Cody Garbrandt picked a fight with Sean O’Malley at the UFC 269. Garbrandt was too focused on O’Malley and was knocked out by Kara-France.

Manel Kape standing up to Israel Adesanya was the most surprising event at the pre-fight presser. Even though he disregarded Felipe dos Santos, he was respectful when they face off, acknowledging the mentality to take a short-notice fight against a ranked contender.
