Israel Adesanya, who is now in training for his second championship defense, anticipates a harsh loss for his opponent, Jared Cannonier at UFC 276.

The UFC middleweight champion recognized Cannonier’s threats on the UFC 276 Countdown episode, while also appreciating the American for his past triumphs. Adesanya, on the other hand, feels that his impending championship defense will not go the distance and that Cannonier would be submitted or knocked out quickly.

According to Adesanya, “Jared is a fighter, I’ve called him a dark horse of the division for a long time. He came down from heavyweight to light heavyweight, and now to middleweight – so he has a lot of power in his hands.

He continues telling, “He’s taken out a lot of people with it, but a lot of people ain’t me. Styles make fights and I’m ‘The Last Stylebender’ so when I fight him, it’s not going to go to the distance. He’s going to get choked out, or knocked out.”

“The Last Stylebender” has won back-to-back unanimous decision victories over Marvin Vittori and Robert Whittaker, with his most recent stoppage victory coming against Paulo Costa. He now aims that this match, which shall be his 5th title defense, to be successful when he meets “The Killa Gorilla”.

Adesanya is the overwhelming favorite for the middleweight title defense at UFC 276. While he has retained his tag of being unstoppable in the 185-pound class thus far, it is evident that ‘The Killa Gorilla’ isn’t gonna back down with a fight.

Jared is coming off back-to-back victories, most recently against Derek Brunson. He aims to make most of this title challenge, even if he doesn’t hold the upper hand.
