“That’s a BEAUTIFUL story,” Israel Adesanya RELEASES Official UFC 281 Trailer featuring DJ Khaled’s latest hit
DJ Khaled- Israel Adesanya
Israel Adesanya doesn’t miss catching eyes before he catches bodies as a dominant UFC middleweight champion. So Adesanya made sure that you, the MMA community, tune up to see him next fighting his worst nightmare in the man who not only has defeated him twice but has knocked him out in the second fight back during Adesanya’s days of kickboxing. This man is Alex Pereira, currently UFC middleweight and formerly the GLORY Kickboxing champion, who was also the first kickboxer to hold GLORY titles simultaneously in 2 weight classes.
On the other hand, Adesanya has the record for the second most title fights in the UFC middleweight history after the great Anderson Silva. Fifteen of Adesanya’s 23 wins in MMA are by the way of knockouts. Adesanya took to his YouTube Channel to release his side of the official promo video for UFC 281, the PPV, which he will headline against Alex Pereira in the historical Madison Square Garden, New York. Throughout the video, you can hear a piece of familiar background music, that is none other than famous music producer DJ Khaled’s titular song from his latest album, GOD DID.

Israel Adesanya vs Alex Pereira: The History Of The 2 Most Ferocious 185ers
In the beginning of the promo video, Adesanya summarises what happened during both the fights inside the kickboxing ring inside Alex Pereira. “When I fought him right, I thought I won the first fight, and in the second fight, he was honestly on the skates. The referee saved his ass because I was about to drop him. And in the third round, he comes out and knocks me out in his own country. That’s a beautiful story for him, but I am still here.“
Adesanya fought Pereira, losing via decision in 2016, followed by him getting knocked out by the latter in 2017. Both the fights were held under the Glory of Heroes banner. Adesanya started competing in professional MMA in 2012, way after he left his kickboxing career ultimately for MMA. Pereira had 3 fights between 2015-2016 and became an active MMA fighter in 2020. Both are undefeated in the middleweight division in the UFC so far.
What do you make of this grand promo pulled off by Adesanya and who do you think wins? Adesanya so far has shown proficiency in winning rounds decisively lately, but the pressure from the fans to put on a show is something The Last Stylebender is dealing with as well. So do you think Adesanya puts on the most satisfying win of his life by putting Pereira to sleep, or will Pereira rise to the occasion to beat Adesanya for the third straight time?
