Israel Adesanya has had a better 2023 so far. After years of losing to Alex Pereira, “The Last Stylebender” finally defeated the dangerous Brazilian striker at UFC 287. Recently, he came on the Impaulsive podcast with hosts Logan Paul and Mike Majlak. Paul signed Adesanya as an athlete for his Prime Hydration brand. The UFC champion came on the podcast to celebrate his recent sponsorship deal with Paul. During the episode, Adesanya revealed one thing that he could do better than Michael Jordan other than fighting.

Israel Adesanya and Mike Maljak talked about Adesanya’s pettiness. Maljak considered Izzy “the king of pettiness.” Adesanya responded, “I’m the best. Michael Jordan is right here (Adesanya gestured with his hands), I think I am just over here or even like a notch above. I don’t wanna say, shout out to Mike, but like I like to believe that I am petty. Somethings I cane let go.” Adesanya and Maljak referred to the incident with Pereira’a kid.

Michael Jordan had a history of taking everything personally to boost his on-field performance. However, Adesanya believes that he can outdo the six-time NBA champion. The Last Dance documentary covered all the moments Jordan took personally to showcase his skills to the best of his ability. Similarly, when Pereira’s son mocked the Last Stylebender in 2022, Adesanya took it personally.

Adesanya has not fought since UFC 287. He has yet to find a new opponent for his upcoming title defense. The middleweight champion will have to wait until UFC 290 to find out his next opponent. He will fight the winner of the Robert Whittaker vs. Dricus Du Plessis bout. Adesanya has already beaten Whittaker twice. However, Du Plessis and Adesanya have personal beef and might offer him a fresh challenge if the South African fighter can defeat Whittaker at UFC 290.

Logan Paul personally visited Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski for training sessions. The WWE star signed a deal to sponsor Adesanya and Volkanovski with his Prime Hydration brand. He also grappled with Adesanya in a training session hosted by veteran BJJ athlete Craig Jones.

During the training session, Adesanya showcased his grappling skills. He landed a takedown in a video clip. In another clip, the middleweight champion submitted the elder Paul brother with a triangle choke. Logan Paul has a background in wrestling, but Adesanya showcased his improved submission skill to the world.

After signing a new deal with the company, Paul will soon return to the WWE ring. Meanwhile, he will also pursue boxing bouts if the demand exists. He wanted to fight Nate Diaz, but the younger Diaz brother decided to fight Jake Paul instead.
