One of the most amazing PPV cards is nearing as UFC 276 features two title fights. Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski of New Zealand’s City Kickboxing gym will be headlining this stacked pay-per-view event at UFC 276. One of the fights on the card that the fans are really excited to watch is the trilogy fight between Volkanovski and his biggest rival Max Holloway in the co-main event. However, middleweight superstar Adesanya is a little skeptical about this matchup.

Volkanovski and Holloway have both met each other two times in the past and this matchup has delivered both times. The second outing was one of the most controversial title fights as the MMA community was split with the winner of the fight. Adesanya believes Volkanovski defeated Holloway fair and square both times in the fight and a trilogy fight did not intrigue him at first. In his latest YouTube video, Izzy and Alex sit down and break down the upcoming pay-per-view event.

“I didn’t think this fight needed to happen. Honestly the first time, I was there live. 5-0, you whooped his a**,” said Adesanya previewing the featherweight trilogy fight. “Second fight, it was closer. I can’t remember which rounds was which, but I still had you winning. Predictions, I can be biased, but when the fight has already happened and you watch it, I can be like he won that fight.”

“I’ve had you on this guy two up. So I was like what’s the point of a third fight?” questions Izzy. The middleweight champion sees Volkanovski fighting Max another time similar to his rematches against Marvin Vettori and Robert Whittaker. Adesanya has revealed that he was actually bored during the fight against “The Italian Dream” as there was no drive for Adesanya to be locked in.

Luckily, Israel Adesanya now has “fresh blood” looking to snatch the throne from him as he takes on Jared Cannonier in the main event of UFC 276. Do you agree with Izzy’s thoughts on the Volkanovski vs Holloway trilogy? What are your thoughts as a fan?
