Israel Adesanya reveals what prompted his “busted a nut” answer in VIRAL Taylor Rooks’ interview

Taylor Rooks (L) stunned by Israel Adesanya's answer (R)
Prior to UFC 281, Israel Adesanya did an interview with Taylor Rooks which went viral on the internet. In the interview, The ‘Last Stylebender’ revealed masturbating before the weigh-ins to make the weight.
Adesanya, said: “I busted a nut to make weight.” How much does that weigh? Asked Taylor Rooks with a surprised look. As both controlled their laughter, Izzy said, ” A few grams came off, 100 grams. I made weight.” Recently, Izzy visited Andrew Shulz on his podcast, FLAGRANT where the fighter explained what went through his mind during the interview.
“When she said it, that was the first thought that came to my head. Oh, that one time and I was like think of another story. For me as well, whenever I have a thought in my mind and I feel like ok, I don’t wanna lose to myself. I’m just saying the truth, just get it out, it’s funny. She’s a good sport, she was cool,” said Izzy.
Even after his loss against Alex Pereira at UFC 281, Izzy seems to be taking it in a very professional way. The fighter has handled the loss with grace and fans are really appreciating it.

Firas Zahabi, GSP’s coach believes the referee saved Israel Adesanya from Alex Pereira during the fight

At UFC 281, Alex Pereira went into the fifth round with the idea of getting a knockout and the fighter delivered it perfectly. During the finishing sequence, Pereira hit Izzy with some nasty combinations and Adesanya failed to react to them.
After the stoppage, Izzy asked if it was a premature stoppage however, it was not one such case. Tryster Gym head coach and Georges St-Pierre’s training partner, Firas Zahabi recently posted a video of him where he revealed that the referee actually did a great job.
“It was fair. Some refs would’ve let it go longer, some refs would’ve stopped it. I think it was fair, I have no complaints. Pereira, he could’ve ended — very possibly — could’ve ended Adesanya’s career if the referee did not intervene. If the referee did not intervene, a scissor knee was coming,” said Zahabi.
Alex Pereira proved yet again why he’s currently one of the most hard-hitting fighters on the UFC roster. It will be interesting to see what approach Izzy will take against ‘Poatan’ in a potential rematch.
