Israel Adesanya takes a hilarious shot at “Ricky Martin Wannabe” Paulo Costa as the real star faces assault allegations
Adesanya called out Costa in a funny tweet
Israel Adesanya may have demolished Paulo Costa from start to finish when they faced off at UFC 253 but that doesn’t mean he’s completely forgotten their intense rivalry. From time to time Adesanya takes appropriate shots at Paulo, while Paulo who is a traditional sh*tposter on social media hardly goes a week before taking aim at Adesanya.
One of Izzy’s best moments on the mic came when he referred to Paulo Costa as a “Ricky Martin Wanna be” in his post-fight call out after his victory over Romero. This name stuck with Costa and has been often called by the pop star’s name, even by other middleweights.
Recently the actual Ricky Martin was accused of having an incestuous relationship with his nephew who is 21 years of age. This nephew recently accused Martin of domestic abuse and now the pop star faces almost 50 years behind bars if all allegations against him are proven to be true.

Israel Adesanya takes shots at Paulo Costa after Ricky Martin’s allegations
Adesanya took this opportunity to reignite the rivalry between him and Costa and it was funny to say the very least. On Twitter, Adesanya posted a meme, with the caption, “Damn what’s the world coming to” Accompanied by a few sad face emojis.
All in jest, the meme is actually an image of Paulo Costa, from UFC 248 whose face has been enlarged. This meme initially surfaced when Costa had trouble making weight, initially during his fight against Adesanya, and more prominently during the weight miss fiasco against Marvin Vettori.
The meme reads, “Ricky Martin faces upto 50 years in prison for domestic abuse claims in relation to alleged sexual relationship with his 21 year old Nephew” below this is a photo of a bloated Costa looking at the camera.
Though their fight was short, it was as memorable as all the trash talk that preceded it and went down as one of the best, one-sided rivalries in the sport. Costa is set to face Luke Rockhold in an attempt to find his way back to the title. He will face off against the former middleweight champion at UFC 278. Israel on the other hand is set to go down a collision course with his former rival from Kickboxing and the only man to knock out Israel, Alex Pereira who recently gained a 1st round KO victory over Sean Strickland.
