Israel Adesanya didn’t hold back at all last night at UFC 290 when he went face to face with Dricus du Plessis after the fighter best Robert Whittaker. Izzy initially asked du Plessis to calm down which was followed by the champion calling the South African the N-word.
After that fans criticized Izzy for taking things too far but Adesanya recently shared a comment from a fan in which the fighter tried to explain the whole situation. The comment highlighted how du Plessis started everything by disrespecting all three African champions in the first place.
A fan expressed frustration with Dricus for claiming himself as the “real African champion,” discounting the struggles of other African champions. The fan believed Kamaru Usman and Francis Ngannou were counting on Israel Adesanya to teach him a lesson. Izzy in the caption said that “Perspective is Powerful.“
It looks like Izzy didn’t like that Dricus made fun of him and his ancestors in the first place and would like to teach the fighter a lesson in the future.
Dricus du Plessis is ready to ‘manhandle’ Israel Adesanya inside the UFC octagon

The face-off between Israel Adesanya and Dricus du Plessis was pretty bizarre according to many fans. After that, du Plessis called the champion a clown for behaving the way he did.
Even though there has been no official announcement yet, it’s sure that Adesanya is going to defend his title against du Plessis next. Dude, in the post-fight press conference, du Plessis mentioned that he will absolutely destroy Izzy inside the octagon.
He said: “I’ll knock him out … If I get my hands on him, it’s not even a fight. I’ll manhandle him. We saw his fight with Alex Pereira. If I get him to the floor, it is not even a fight. If I just get my hands on him, it’s not even a fight. I will manhandle him. I’ve done it before and I’ll do it again.”
According to the South African, if he gets his hands on the champion, it’s going to be a tough night for Adesanya. Du Plessis is quite confident with his claims and it’s definitely going to be a great match-up.
