Jack Hermansson gained the victory via a unanimous decision
Replacing Darren Till, Chris Curtis will have the opportunity to beat Jack Hermansson and make the biggest leap in middleweight rankings history apart from Alex Pereira. While replacing Darren Till on a London card might seem like a near impossible task, Curtis seems to be the only man capable of it.
Stepping in as a short-notice replacement for Till, Curtis until recently did not expect that he’d ever have a UFC career. However, after having accepted to step in as a short-notice replacement against Phil Hawes at UFC Fight Night 194. Though the fight would not take place until UFC 268, Curtis would walk out with a TKO victory over Hawes. Winning his next two, he currently holds a flawless 3-0 record in the UFC. This fight against Hermansson while being a huge step up in competition is also a huge opportunity to advance himself up the rankings
Jack Hermansson has been a mainstay of the middleweight division, however, he is currently 2-3 in his last five. His most recent loss came at the hands of Curtis’ teammate, Sean Strickland. Ranked #8, Hermansson is a heavy hitter who has recently fallen curse to leaving fights in the hands of the judges. With a victory tonight against a versatile, short-notice opponent he will be able to reclaim his spot at the upper echelons of Middleweight.

Jack Hermansson beats Chris Curtis Via Unanimous Decision
Round 1
The action starts with both fighters tring to find their range, Curtis with jabs and Jack with Gazelle punches. Jack has thrown two teep icks ayt the start itself, he tries to land another that barely misses the groin area of Curtis. Hermansson feints abother leaping punch that Curtis doesn’t recact to. Jack mixes it up with body jabs and headkicks mixed in with feint takedown attempts. Hermansson is working heavily to add up the damange on curtis’ leg and affect his movement. Curtis is yet to check any of the leg kicks throws by Hermanssson. Jack lands another superman punch, followed by a leg kick that knocks Hermansson off balance. ROund 2 ends with Hermansson on the back foot.
Round 2
Jack opens up with another teep kick that mises the mark. Curtis has managed to put Hermansson on the back foot with the american finding better succes with his punches. Jack is conisstent with his kicks and changes levels quite often with head kicks and body kicks. Everytime Curtis tries to close the distance, Jack fires off a front kick that puts the American at bay Jack is able to land a right hook that knocks the American off balance and against the cage where Hermansson lands multiple punches and elbows.
Curtis is able to survive and gets back to pressuring through he constantly seems to fall short on range. Jack lands another body kick followed by a left hook as Curtis tries to close in. Round 2 ends with Curtis landing a punch to Hermansson’s body.
Round 3
Again Jack opens the round with a kick, this time to the head that is partially blocked by Curtis. Curtis has heeded to his corners’ advice and steps up the pressure from his side. Jack lands another partial headkicvk that puts Curtis on the backfoot for a moment. Jack works even more on his leg kicks while circling the cage. A very kick heavy offense from Hermansson is able to neutralize most of Curtis’s offense. As they try to creat a break, Jack accidentally lands a kick to the groin area of Curtis.
Curtis manages to slowly build on his offense at the two minute mark and even seems to have success in backing up the Swede against the cage. A frustrated Curtis starts taunting Hermansson for circling around, flipping off the bird before the final buzzer
