Holly Holm and Ketlen Vieira went toe-to-toe against each other at UFC Vegas 55 on May 21. The Vegas card included fighters like Michel Pereira, Chidi Njokuani, and many more. As both fighters fought it out in the Main fight, Holly Holm believes she was robbed in the fight.
Fighting after over a year, Holly Holm showed great spirit in the octagon. The Fight was a close one and many believe it could have gone either way. First-round was not very exciting as Holly controlled Ketlen for five minutes. The second round saw some amazing moments with the Ketlen almost ending the fight by a rear neck chock to Holm. However, Holly held her ground and withstood a brutal submission attempt.
In the end, the fight went to Judges who scored the fight 47-48, 48-47, and 48-47 in favor of Vieira. The decision has stirred controversy on social media and many believe that Holly won the fight. Holm herself believes she did enough to win the fight and expressed her displeasure about the result.

The fight stats clearly indicated, that Holly outstruck her opponent, and she even had more control time. Many MMA aces condemned the decision, and Holly’s gym, Jackson Wink MMA released an official statement regarding the incident. They posted on Instagram, and wrote, “Judges need to be held accountable for making mistakes, just like everyone else is held accountable, penalized, and punished for wrong doings.”
Jackson Wink added, “Judges are not above everyone else… Why are their decisions so untouchable and are never overturned? If this is not fixed, the legitimacy of this sport is at question! PS: What’s the point of counting strikes if they don’t mean anything and judges don’t even look at the stats. What do they go by?”
