“I wanna sit front row!” Jailton Almeida calls dibs on MSG seats for heavyweight title fight after Derrick Lewis win
Jailton Almeida wants Dana White to set him and his wife up for UFC 295 front row seats. He wants to witness the interim-heavyweight title bout at UFC 295.

The main event at UFC Sao Paulo featured a heavyweight matchup. Jailton Almeida and Derrick Lewis went 25 minutes inside the octagon. Despite the difficulties, Almeida’s technical control and strategy resulted in a unanimous decision victory. The judges scored the bout 50-44, 50-44, and 50-45 in his favor.
In a post-fight interview with Hiedi Androl and Michael Bisping, Jailton praised Derrick Lewis for his toughness and “no-quit” attitude. When asked whether he would attend the next weekend’s interim heavyweight title bout, this is what Almeida said:
Yeah, absolutely. I’m gonna ask Dana or Mick to give me tickets for my wife and I so we can go to New York. Almeida entered the octagon looking for his sixth consecutive UFC victory over former title contender Lewis. The Brazilian fighter showcased his wrestling ability. He took down Lewis and looked for ways to finish the battle. Now, he wants to go to New York and witness the interim heavyweight title bout. Sergei Pavlovich and Tom Aspinall will compete for the interim heavyweight title. Almeida remains a win or two from challenging for the title. Hence, he wanted a ring-side seat to attend UFC 296 next week.
The fight card of UFC Sao Paulo was filled with other memorable moments. These include dominant performances by fighters like Eduarda Moura, Angela Hill, and Elves Brener. Almeida represented his home nation well and walked out as the victor. Soon, he will hope to challenge for the title.
