“Dana White The Drug Dealer” Jake Paul comes out in support of Tony Ferguson after media day comments

Jake Paul took to twitter in order to support Tony Ferguson's resentments against the UFC

Jake Paul has been a consistent thorn on the backs of the UFC Management with his constant attacks on Dana White and highlighting the Issue of fighter pay. Most recently he bought shares in Endeavor, the parent company of the UFC portraying it as if the move would make any difference. Though unclear about the extent to which Paul actually cares about fighters getting a better deal, it certainly helps him build his image while tarnishing that of the UFC.

At media day for UFC 274, UFC Veteran and former Interim Lightweight Champion, Tony Ferguson sat down with a hunger to prove himself and his frustration in dealing with the UFC. Ferguson detailed how the company made him feel, “less than adequate” during his early days and never rewarded his efforts for always being a company man, never turning down fights. Ferguson, who was on a 12-fight win streak prior to a late notice fight against Justin Gaethje at the start of the pandemic, said that he felt betrayed by the company after his streak ended.

Earlier Ferguson had also coined the term, Dana White Privilege ( A play on white privilege) in reference to Michael Chandler who received an undisputed title shot after his first UFC victory when Ferguson was offered one very late in his career. The Youtuber-turned-boxer and now lately also a boxing promoter supported Ferguson’s view on the situation. “Don’t listen to me, Listen to a UFC Fighter, ” Paul said on Twitter tagging Tony Ferguson along with a video of him on media day. Jake applauded his courage to speak up as many fighters can expect harsh retaliation from such comments.

Jake ended the post by saying, “Dana White is a billionaire while fighters are itching and clawing to make ends meet” while calling referring to the UFC boss as “Dana White The Drug Dealer”, a criticism shared by Tony when Dana refused hi from trying his hands on other professional sports to make money and secure his family’s future.

Jake Paul has been calling out UFC Fighters to box against him, something that their active contracts don’t allow to do. Tyron Woodley who has previously faced Jake says that he made more money in the two bouts against Paul than he did in his entire UFC career, despite being a champion.
