Paul has always been open above the fact that he wants to fight Diaz in future in a boxing bout. This may be the reason he is supporting the fighter in order to show that Diaz is still capable of destroying his opponents.

Diaz has lost in three of his last four octagon appearances and is currently in a tough spot. The fighter also has struggled with fighters who have a superior wrestling background. Although Diaz has great BJJ abilities the fighter rarely has showcased them inside the octagon.

Nevertheless, Diaz is considered as one of the OGs in the game and has a huge fan base. Considering that this is going to be his last fight in UFC, fight fans will flood the venue to watch him fight. It surely going to be a huge pay-per-view event for the UFC.
