“Need to shut the F**K UP,” Jamahal Hill lashes out at critics who see Jan Blachowicz as the BETTER fighter than him
Jamahal Hill- Jan Blachowicz
Jamahal Hill is all pumped up for his future in fighting as the top light-heavyweight in the UFC but wants to keep his haters in check with his fiery rant as well. Hill just came off the biggest win in his career last weekend when he shut down former UFC title challenger Thiago Santos inside round four via TKO. He now has wins over the likes of Santos, Ovince St-Preux, Jimmy Crute, Johnny Walker and many more. Hill is now #6 ranked UFC light-heavyweight.
The UFC light-heavyweight division carries the potential for the most exciting matchups that could be made right now based on the current roster. Ever since former champion Jon Jones left the 205 lbs division, the gold strap has been passed on to 3 people. First, Jan Blachowicz became the second Polish fighter to become a UFC champion after the great Joanna Jedrzejczyk, then Glover Teixeira made the record for the oldest first-time UFC champion earning his title at the age of 42 and now Jiri Prochazka rules the division while becoming the first Czech UFC champion.
Jamahal Hill thinks Jan Blachowicz’s resume is over-appreciated by the MMA community
In an interview with James Lynch on the behalf of Sportskeeda, Hill talks about his win over Santos, his reaction to the potential rematch in works between Prochazka and Teixeira, people criticizing his bad cardio and much more. In the midst of all, Hill also talks about him being doubted by his critics who say that he would be defeated by Jan Blachowicz if these 2 fierce strikers ever fought inside the octagon.
“Let’s address the whole Jan thing right now,” says Hill. “Bro, people need to shut the f**k up… bro Jan f**king lost to Santos. Santos knocked him the f**k out and if I am not mistaken, he was losing that fight. Thiago Santos knocked him out 3 f**king years ago, not that long ago, so he never fought him again after that…” continues Hill citing that Jan’s wins have no strong credentials either since the opponents who Jan defeated were either no more in the UFC (Corey Anderson), coming off from a loss (Dominick Reyes) or came from a lower weight class (Israel Adesanya & Luke Rockhold).
What do you make of Jamahal Hill’s rant upon his critics undermining his skills in comparison to Jan and how do you assess Jan’s resume when Hill talks about it the way he did above? Do you think Blachowicz is one of the best ever to do it, or maybe a bit overrated? Who do you think would win if both Hill and Blachowicz go down in the cage? Who do you think is more likely to become a UFC champion in the future, Blachowicz again, or is it Hill’s time?
