Jamahal Hill knocks out Thiago Santos at UFC Vegas 59
Jamahal Hill recently made headlines after defeating Thiago Santos at UFC on ESPN: Santos vs. Hill via TKO. In the fight, Hill looked unstoppable and didn’t give the veteran fighter any chance to recover throughout the fight. Before this win, Hill had an amazing win against Johnny Walker at UFC Vegas 48 where Hill won via KO. Continuous performance such as this has put Hill in the conversation of a potential title contender in future.
In a recent interview after UFC Vegas 59 with The MMA Hour, Hill called out Jiri Prochazka and justified it by comparing himself to Alex Pereira in the middleweight division. He said :
“We’ve seen it before. That’s how [Jiri] got the belt. He jumped and got the belt. Go down a weight class, Alex Pereira. That’s not a jump? Everybody else is getting jumped around. Why not jump ‘Sweet Dreams’ around? I feel like I match up with Jiri phenomenally. I feel like that would be a phenomenal fight, and I feel like I could take that fight. I feel like that would be a great fight. It’s a great showing. I feel like it would be very marketable.”
