Jamahal Hill visions a title fight against Jiri Prochazka
Jamahal Hill might be a successful year or two away from a potential title shot but that does not stop “Sweet Dreams” from dreaming about a title fight against the current champion Jiri Prochazka. The rising light heavyweight believes a matchup between him and Jiri would rank as one of the biggest matchups in the history of the division.
Jamahal Hill has clearly won over the fans with his performances inside the UFC octagon. The fighter has a growing hype among UFC fans and that has managed to get him his first event as a headliner. The fighter will be taking on former title contender Thiago Santos in the main event fight at UFC Vegas 59 this weekend. Ahead of the fight, Jamahal talks to Mike Heck at the UFC X Fan Expo and talks about his dreams to fight for the title one day and become a champion.
“Sweet dreams” Hill believes if he were to fight for the title in the near future, a matchup against Jiri Prochazka would excite him the most. According to Hill, the two fighters stylistically matchup perfect for an entertaining fight. Jamahal is not one to play around in the octagon and goes for the kill right from the get-go just like the reigning champion, Prochazka.

Hill is coming off a stunning win against Johnny Walker in his previous fight. Hill has only lost once in his entire professional career and is currently 10-1. Talking to Mike Heck, Jamahal says that there has rarely been a fight between two fighters that match so perfectly, stylistically in the light heavyweight division. “That’d be one of the biggest fights in the division’s history. I think a fight between me and Jiri is a banger,” says Jamahal on a potential fight against Prochazka.
“I think it’s got the ability to show things and show flow in a very exciting type of fight that people aren’t used to and don’t get to see a lot,” said Jamahal in his recent interview. Jamahal’s dream is to fight for the light heavyweight title and the 31-year-old is getting closer to his dream. He is currently ranked #10 in the division and will be facing #6, Thiago Santos, this weekend in the main event fight.
A statement win against Santos could see Hill bursting through the top-5 of the rankings. Hill already is a fan favorite and is one of the most exciting fighters to watch in the 205 division.
