“His legacy speaks for itself but-” Jamahal Hill wishes he saw more of UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov
Jamahal Hill- Khabib Nurmagomedov
UFC Light heavyweight Jamahal Hill is one exciting knockout artist as well as one hardcore fan of the sport, so he will speak his mind in case he wants more of someone, retired or not. Hill was last seen fighting in February 2022 when he knocked out Johnny Walker and secured the biggest win of his career. Hill now has a chance to secure the biggest victory of his career for another time when he will fight the former title challenger Thiago Santos come August 2022 at UFC on ESPN 40.
Hill is 10-1 with a no contest in his overall MMA career with 6 wins by knockouts and wins over the likes of Walker, Ovince St-Preux, Jimmy Crute and many more. If he wins against Santos, Hill will be looking forward to another couple of fights before he gets his title shot at the belt for 205 lb. Currently, Jiri Prochazka is the reigning champion who defeated Glover Teixeira back in June at UFC 275 to become the new champion.

Jamahal Hill claims nobody during Khabib Nurmagomedov’s time was on the latter’s level of fighting
In an interview with Helen Yee, Hill talked about his upcoming fight with Santos, his preparation for the fight, his take on Daniel Cormier’s Hall of Famer legacy, his challenge for Yee in swimming and much more. It was at this point Hill came across talking about the career and legacy of another UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov.
“Khabib’s career kinda speaks for himself,” says Hill. “I feel personally, it’s a little bit more desired as a fan [that] I wish we could’ve gotten more out of him but, in his time where he was active, he was dominant. Nobody he stepped in there with was on his level and he time and time and time again and at the end of the day it was his choice to decide that he was done showing,” Hill concluded.
What do you make of Hill’s desire to see Khabib challenge himself more in the competition? Do you feel the same way when thinking about the legacy of Khabib? Khabib retired from the sport back in 2020 when he decided he will not enter the Octagon without his father again who sadly passed away earlier that year due to Covid. Thus, his fight against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 was his last fight. Khabib retired undefeated with a record of 29-0 and 19 wins via finishes.
