Jan Blachowicz offers take on Glover Teixeira vs Jiri Prochazka fight
Former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz will be paying close attention to the title fight between Jiri Prochazka and Glover Teixeira.
Like many other fight fans, Jan Blachowicz is very excited to know the outcome of the Glover Teixeira vs Jiri Prochazka fight that will soon be announced by the UFC. The title fight is set to determine the future of the light heavyweight division and Jan is very invested in that fight. Having lost the belt to Glover in his previous bout, Blachowicz is curious to find out how rising contender Jiri Prochazka will do against the veteran.
Jan is back to the octagon to face another top contender in Aleksandar Rakic this weekend and leading up to the fight, the Polish fighter sits down to talk to Jim Norton and Matt Sera on the UFC Unfiltered podcast. When asked about the predictions for the Teixeira vs Prochazka fight, Jan like many other fans in the world is unsure given how evenly the fight is matched.
“Yeah, I am excited because I am also a fan of the sport. I’m curious. It’s 50-50,” says Jan on Jiri vs Glover. Blachowicz has mentioned in the past that he will be hoping the Brazilian retains his title so that he can win his belt back from Glover in the near future. However, Jan wouldn’t be too upset about fighting someone as exciting as Jiri.

Jan Blachowicz says Jiri Prochazka is crazy in a good way
“If Glover takes him down, he will win the fight. But Jiri is a crazy fighter, in a good way. You don’t what he will do,” said Jan talking to Jim Norton. “This is good for him, it is working. If Glover goes strong like against me, he will defend the belt.”
Jan believes a win against Aleksandar Rakic this weekend should put him in the conversation for title contention given he is the #1 contender. Jiri Prochazka is a fighter that everyone is excited to see how his career trajects. The fighter is one of the most exciting fighters in the light heavyweight division and has seen a rise to the top like no other in the division.
