Jessica Andrade slams Carla Esparza! As UFC 274 has concluded, everyone has their share of say about the event. UFC 274 was a very exciting event with crazy fights like Michael Chandler vs Tony Ferguson and the main fight between Justin Gaethje and Charles Oliveira.
However, the co-main event was rather underwhelming. Rose Namajunas fought against Esparza for the woman’s Strawweight title at UFC 274. The fight, however, is now regarded as one of the worst title fights in the history of the UFC.
In the end, Esparza beat Rose Namajunas in a fight where very little happened across five rounds. According to the official statistics, only 67 significant strikes were delivered by both athletes in 5 rounds. Namajunas threw 137 strikes in total, landing just 38. Esparza threw 133 strikes, with only 30 finding the target.
UFC Fighter Jessica Andrade is also among many fighters who weren’t impressed by the co-main event. Jessica is the former Strawweight champion and is now looking to fight Carla Esparza for the Strawweight title. Jessica expressed her displeasure about the fight on Twitter and even labeled Carla as the “champion of boredom.”
Talking about the fight Jessica tweeted: “I take advantage that you didn’t block me on twitter, I want to say that your fight yesterday was the worst in strawweight history, champion of boredom, I can’t wait to rip your head off. congratulations on the boredom belt, but fans of this sport want to see a massacre, I’ll do!”
“Fans did not expect this,”- Jessica Andrade claims anyone would have fought better than Carla Esparza
After UFC 274, Jessica has been constantly bashing the new Strawweight champion Carla Esparza for her victory against Rose Namajunas at UFC 274. The fight was definitely bland as it left many fight fans disappointed. Even UFC President Dana White claimed that he dozed off during the fight as fighters were reluctant to engage with each other.
Just a few weeks ago, Jessica made a successful return to the Strawweight division by submitting Amanda Lemos, with just over three minutes gone in the first round of their main event fight. Jessica is now targeting Carla and has expressed her desire to fight her for the Strawweight title.
In her recent tweet, Jessica has claimed that any of the top 5 contenders would have fought better than Carla and even labeled the fight as the “worst fight in the division’s history.” Jessica tweeted: “Any of the top 5 would have fought better than the @CarlaEsparza1 boredom champion did yesterday. Shame on the division. worst fight in the division’s history. It was a disgrace to women’s MMA. arena booing the fight. Fans did not expect this.”
