Jiri Prochazka just won the light heavyweight title and he already has his eyes set on his next opponent. Jan Blachowicz had some important words to say after Jiri’s win over Glover Teixeira and Jiri’s reply is amazing.

Jiri Prochazka created history yesterday by becoming a champion in the UFC in only his third fight for the promotion. The light heavyweight contender took on the veteran champion Glover Teixeira in the main event fight at UFC 275 held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. The fight between the two giants was undoubtedly a “Fight of The Year” worthy contender and will go down as one of the best title fights of all time.

Jiri became the first fighter from the Czech Republic to become the champion in UFC. Unlike many other first-time champions in the UFC, Jiri is composed and already knows what he wants to do next. The Czech fighter wants to take on a former champion who also happens to be a European. On his way out of the octagon, Jiri met Jan Blachowicz who happened to watch the fight live. Jiri and Jan exchanged some strong words with each other and in the end Prochazka blew a kiss to his future challenger.

Jan and Jiri are ready to fight each other

“It was a little bit friendly and a little bit aggressive,” said Jiri talking to the media after his title win at UFC 275. “I said to him, ‘Let’s go. You are next.’ He started to be aggressive because he saw the camera and all these things. He tried to flex a little bit more. Yeah, I said to him [blowing a kiss] ‘I love you.'”

Blachowicz is a former champion who lost his belt to 42-year-old Glover Teixeira at UFC 267. Blachowicz since then loss has fought Aleksandar Rakic and defeated him. Jan also called out Jiri in his recent tweet and wrote, “Jiri, let’s do this! The battle for Europe. The biggest fight in the Continent’s history.”

Both Jan and Jiri are confident that if the title fight took place in either Czech Republic or Poland, the company could break records like never before and the atmosphere of the Europeans will be through the roof in the arena.
