“He started to be aggressive” Jiri Prochazka jokes on how he saved Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler from an intense brawl

Prochazka details his experience at UFC 276
Jiri Prochazka is many things, from a champion to a samurai and now a fight stopper apparently. Jiri was right next to Dustin Poirier when he started trading barbs with Michael Chandler who was walking to his seat and was caught up in the viral moment. Today he detailed his experience with Helen Yee on her YouTube channel.
Prochazka was seen in the video that showcased the bizarre brawl between Chandler and Poirier. He wasn’t even the lone top fighter in close proximity as the video itself was filled by Gilbert Burns, further adding to the mystique of the ordeal. It happened around the opening of the main card when Dustin and Michael crossed paths while the latter was on his way to his seat.
An unusually agitated Poirier would initiate the verbal fight by calling Chandler a “Fake Motherf*ker” While Chandler’s replies are unintelligible due to the noise in the arena, Dustin can be repeatedly heard saying, “you’re fake, I’mma fck you up. “ Prochazka can be seen popping in and out of the video right next to Dustin at which point UFC security would get involved and separate the two lightweights.

Today Prochazka detailed his experience having front row seats to dispute among other things like his newly gifted Samurai Sword. When Helen Yee asked for details of what happened to start the spat from his vantage point and if he tried to stop it, Prochazka said, “I was as close as I can be to Dustin and he started to be aggressive , throwing some trash talk at Michael and they start to talk together. “
Jiri then joked that he wasn’t surprised by the brawl and that he was the one who saved them, he said, “Nothing that was surprising to me and I saved them” letting out a loud laugh. Yee would then ask for confirmation if he did infact stop the two from agitating further, to which Jiri would give full credit to the UFC Security Detail. He said, “I just watched it, and there were the guys from the UFC, they tried to fix it.” Prochazka then went on to confirm that it was indeed Poirier who started the dispute.
Chandler and Poirier seem to be on a collision course to determine who gets their final shot at the title first. While the UFC has not shown any interest in matching up the two, fans are much eager to see them face off. Even more so after seeing Dustin go out of character with rage.
Jiri meanwhile has expressed his willingness to fight Jan Blachowicz in his first title defense and wishes that the fight be made in Europe itself. He has also said he doesn’t mind having an immediate rematch against Glover since the first time out was an amazing night for the fans.
