As a UFC champion, Jiri Prochazka seems to be in a critical stage of who to give the next title shot after he made the most of his turn when he defeated the preceding champion, Glover Teixeira at UFC 275 via submission in the last minute of a fight of the year contender for 2022. Prochazka, the first Czech UFC champion, captured the gold in just his third UFC fight.

Prochazka has won over the likes of Teixeira, Volkan Oezdemir, Dominick Reyes, Vadim Nemkov, Muhammad Lawal, Satoshi Ishii, C.B. Dolloway, Fabio Maldonado and many more. After middleweight great Anderson Silva, Prochazka has the least fights fought in the UFC before becoming the champion.

In an interview with Dave Schmulenson aka The Schmo, Prochazka talks about his life as a champion of the world, his time during the international fight week and much more. In the midst of all, Prochazka gives an idea of who he might fight next but the decision is still not made because of the competitive resumes of the possible names.

“I’ve to make a decision about the next fight and I’m thinking about giving an offer to Glover for a rematch or to challenge Jan [Blachowicz, former champion] because Jan for me is a much bigger challenge but I think Glover… he made a great performance in that fight [against Prochazka himself] and I have to say to him- huge respect for that. So, we will see,” says Prochazka.
