Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury fought each other in their crossover bout, called ‘The Battle of the Baddest.’ The former UFC heavyweight champion proved an unexpected and formidable opponent for the WBC heavyweight champion. In an episode of the JRE podcast, Joe Rogan dived into the controversial split decision victory awarded to Fury.
In addition, the bout lasted ten rounds, and Francis Ngannou fought well till the end. Subsequently, the judges controversially scored the fight in Fury’s favor. While commenting on the fight, Rogan stated:
So look at the count, 1, 2, 3,... He got up to the count of 10 but its 22 seconds before they re-engage. Boxing is a dirty business. There’s always one judge that’s in the bag. If they are not absolutely paid off, at the very least, they are deeply indebted to the promoters.Joe Rogan via JRE.
Rogan also exposed that when Fury was knocked down to the canvas in the third round, he received a 22-second count. Hence, Rogan believed that the corruption in boxing led to Fury being the winner of the bout. Subsequently, Rogan also stated that Ngannou won and that his performance inside a boxing ring was an accomplishment for the MMA world. In addition, Rogan stated that corruption in boxing always tends to favor the more marketable fighter.
Furthermore, Ngannou was a compliant underdog for the bout since it was his boxing debut. Hence, most people assumed that Fury would easily defeat him since he was an undefeated heavyweight champion. However, Ngannou delivered an unexpectedly stellar performance, which even impressed his coach, Mike Tyson.
Joe Rogan shoots an arrow at Elon Musk’s car
Recently, Rogan invited the famous billionaire Elon Musk to his podcast as a guest, where they had an eventful conversation. During their conversation, Musk spoke about the Tesla Cybertruck, which was first announced in 2019 and is expected to launch in November 2023.
Furthermore, while speaking about the vehicle, Musk mentioned that they had conducted a shotgun test on it. Surprisingly, Musk claimed that the vehicle was unscathed mostly after the durability test and that no bullets penetrated it. Subsequently, Rogan, being the adrenaline junkie that he is, suggested doing an arrow test on it, and Musk agreed.
In addition, Rogan’s attempt to penetrate the body of the Cybertruck failed, but he was amazed and amused after it. Hence, Tesla’s claim that its vehicle has an unbreakable exterior, bulletproof glass, and sophisticated self-driving features appears true.
