UFC color commentators seem to have a problem remembering the geographical locations of historic events. Previously Joe Rogan claimed that Muhammad Ali’s Thrilla in Manilla took place in Africa which was ridiculed by fans. Now color commentator and Hall Of Famer, Michael Bisping has made the same mistake.

After his viral podcast with RFK Jr. Joe Rogan, is being ridiculed for his podcast episode with Mike Perry. At one point during the show, Bare Knuckle fighter Mike Perry talked about the Iconic Thrilla in Manilla fight. The fight took place between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier in Metro Manila, Philippines. However, Perry incorrectly claimed the fight took place in Africa. Rogan who should have been knowledgeable about the event also seconded Mike’s statement. This led to many fans poking fun at the podcast host.

A similar geographical mishap was followed by Hall of Famer Michael Bisping. Bisping on his podcast Believe You Me with light heavyweight fighter Anthony Smith, talked about a possible UFC event in Africa. He then called the event would be similar to Muhammad Ali and George Foreman’s The Rumble in the Jungle. Up until this point, Bisping was factually correct as Rumble In The Jungle took place in the Republic of Congo. However, Bisping added that it took place in Manilla, possibly confusing the event with Thrilla in Manilla.

However, the mistake was made by Bisping and like Rogan, even he was trolled hard. Few even added that both Joe Rogan and Bisping have taken too many strikes to their head.

Nate Diaz will be making his pro boxing debut against Jake Paul at the American Airlines Centre in Dallas, Texas. The bout will consist of 10 rounds and take place at 185lbs co-promoted by DAZN and Diaz’s Real Fight Inc. Right after the announcement of the fight many called out Paul for picking the easy way and fighting washed-up fighters. However, UFC Hall Of Famer Michael Bisping is calling it a smart move.

Bisping on his Podcast Believe You Me with Anthony Smith, gave his reasons for choosing Jake Paul over Diaz. Bisping agrees that Nate Diaz is a better fighter, than Paul. However, the same cannot be said when it comes to boxing. The Hall Of Famer stated that although Diaz had great punching power and an iron chin, he was fighting without most of his skills.

Bisping further added that Jake Paul has all the benefits and that’s why he picked the Diaz fight. “Jake’s the bigger, more explosive guy, and that’s why he’s picked this fight, you know what I mean. I hope I eat my words. Of course, I do. But it’s a very, very smart matchup. It’s a very smart pick,” said Bisping. Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn is also of the same decision as Bisping.
