UFC commentator Joe Rogan has been a vocal opponent of the vegan cult. In a recent episode of JRE, he discusses the dangers of processed vegan food products with entertainer Steve-O.

Steve-O who has a history of addiction to substance abuse, shares his story on The Joe Rogan Experience. Joe Rogan discusses the effect food has on the human body. And eventually, the topic of vegan food came up. Steve-O discusses how he went from being vegan to learning the discrepancies that many processed vegan food items pose for health issues.

“I told them I’m vegan they were like oh that’s the problem,” he says. As per the UFC commentator, the soy and highly processed food items usually associated with the vegan diet are unrecognized by the body as food. Veganism is different from vegetarianism. Vegetarians don’t eat any food products made from meat, fish, or animal by-products (such as gelatine or rennet). Vegans don’t eat any food products that come from animals, including dairy products and eggs. So food for such people needs to be processed artificially to fulfill the nutrient requirements of the human body. “Clearly your body is struggling to break it down…it’s an absurd substance posing as food,” Steve-O said.

Furthermore, Joe Rogan brought up the case of Impossible Burgers. The company that creates Impossible Burger develops plant-based substitutes for meat products. Their signature product, the Impossible Burger, is a gluten-free burger made largely of soy protein concentrates. The genetically engineered heme gives it its meat-like quality. Rogan shares a study that shows that burgers are toxic for rats. “They were feeding rats the Impossible Burgers and the rats were getting sick,” Rogan says.

Steve-O is an entertainer. He has made a living off of performing stunts all his life. On The Joe Rogan Experience he shares the time he shared that he made UFC fighters give him a cauliflower ear.

He first made UFC legend Chuck Liddel attempt to give him a cauliflower ear. Even Ronda Rousey and Jorge Masvidal joined in to punish the entertainer’s ears. Steve-O eventually turned to Jon Jones which made Joe Rogan blurt out, “You are such a glutton for punishment.”

They all tried to give Steve-O a cauliflower ear as he wanted but were unsuccessful. “Jon Jones blasted my ear into oblivion… He so upsettingly overdid it that my ear got blasted apart,” he said.
