Joe Rogan is full of praise for Elon Musk as the celebrity billionaire takes over the social media app Twitter.
UFC commentator is not only an icon in the commentary booth of MMA fights but also a kingpin in the world of podcasts. The comedian/podcast host has one of the biggest voices and is a huge fan of Elon Musk. Joe Rogan was already awaiting the news of Musk buying Twitter but the commentator’s reaction was caught live on his podcast episode with Jessica Kirson.
Rogan found out that the official press release for Musk’s Twitter takeover was out and he shared his excitement with his guest on the podcast. Tesla’s head took over Twitter by buying it for a whopping $44 billion. Joe was a huge advocate for Elon buying Twitter in order to restore freedom of speech on the bird app.
“Oh, sh*t! Oh, sh*t!” exclaimed Rogan as he found out about the news of Twitter’s new owner. “We got a movie star-cut type of superhero. Like a movie and there was a guy who was like a hero in the movie who happens to be a billionaire and also does wild sh*t,” Rogan praised Musk on his podcast.

“Here’s why it is going to be interesting. He believes that free speech is important, and vital for a functioning democracy. We found that Twitter shadowbans people,” said Rogan on the show. “The ability to shadowban people should be exposed.” Rogan has had the billionaire on his show three times in the past. Rogan and Musk have broken the internet with their interviews and are one of the most-watched podcast episodes.
Elon following his purchase of Twitter said that “Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated.” Musk has not only received praise but also a lot of backlash following his purchase of Twitter.
