“Never stops being weird”- Joe Rogan reacts to a fan tattooing his face on their arm
Joe Rogan is always awestruck by the fact that people have tattoos of his face
Joe Rogan has managed to become a household name after over 30 years in the entertainment industry. Initially finding some success as a sitcom actor, Rogan gained true notoriety when he became the host of the Shock-reality TV Show Fear Factor. This was boosted by his standup career and a gig as the on-air commentator for the UFC. Joe peaked in his career with an amalgamation of all of his previous roles which was his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.
Since late 2017, The JRE Podcast has become a mainstay in many parts of the internet culture specifically due to the variety of guests invited on the show and Joe’s complete lack of knowledge on most subjects being a relatable starting point for most of his audience. This sucess came after years of building on a hobby and finally culminated when the Podcast was licensed exclusively for Spotify at a cost upwards of $100 Million.
Joe Rogan continues to be weirded out by fan tattoos
Along with the money and controversies, fame also brings along the rabid pack of followers backing you. Joe Rogan certainly has such a following as his fanbase stood strongly behind him when old footage of him using racial slurs and racist comparisons of black people emerged. What would have led to the termination of many artists left Joe without taking anything from him. This fanbase also has it’s unique way of letting Rogan know how much they love him and it freaks him out every single time.
JRE Fans are now well known for their love of making tattoos featuring Rogan’s face and the podcaster has often stated how weirded out he is by every single one of them. Recently a tattoo parlor from New York City shared one such tattoo made by them for a fan of Rogan’s. It consists of the standard design elements that feature in a JRE tattoo with Alien and Illuminati references while also featuring Joe’s face from a UFC event.
Joe responded by sharing the tattoo on his personal Instagram page with the caption, “I’ve lost count of how many tattoos of me are out there, but it never stop being weird” Some of Rogan’s favorite tattoos of him that he has reposted include one where he smokes a blunt while his third eye opens and another a tattoo of Bert Kreischer whose pelvic region is replaced with Rogan’s head.
