UFC 300 is just around the corner, and Joe Rogan couldn’t help but be impressed by the fight card. While Rogan is mostly in awe of the variety of fights, there are a few that the commentator isn’t sure about. This includes the wrestling phenom Bo Nickal and his placement in the main card.

Recently, Joe Rogan collaborated on a podcast episode with Matt Serra and Din Thomas. The gang discussed the impending UFC 300 mega-event throughout the podcast. Rogan questioned Bo Nickal’s inclusion on the main card. He didn’t understand how the UFC put Nickal above former champions like Aljamain Sterling and Jiri Prochazka.

How many MMA fights and he's [Nickal] on the main card. Look at all these other fights which aren't in the main card. That is the craziest card of all time. This f”***** card is bananas

Bo Nickal is scheduled to fight Cody Brundage in a middleweight bout at the UFC 300 main card opener. Nickal has fought twice inside the UFC octagon and finished his opponents both times. Despite his limited time in the UFC, Nickal has immense popularity in the US combat sports community. The fighter has 3 NCAA Division 1 titles and is one of the best wrestlers.

Reacting to criticism from fans, Nickal talked about the situation on the Nickals and Dimes podcast. The fighter revealed that he wasn’t concerned with people’s thoughts and found it conical.

I don't really care to be honest. I could fight wherever. I like that it makes people mad. I think that's so funny. 'You don't deserve it,' blah blah blah. I'm like, 'OK, thank you.

Nickal’s college wrestling background will surely give him an advantage over others in the middleweight division. Not many middleweight fighters have tremendous grappling skills like him. As such, he could deploy his wrestling skills to overpower most fighters in the top 15. The true challenge comes when he fights the top five middleweights. However, Nickal must utilize the opportunity presented to him at UFC 300 to improve his star value.
