An amazing light heavyweight matchup between two entertaining fighters kicks off the UFC 279 pay-per-view card. Johnny Walker and Ion Cutelaba are ready to put on a show for the fans in the main card of tonight’s fight event.
Johnny Walker is one of the most entertaining fighters on the UFC roster. The fighter’s “crazy” personality makes for the best fights inside the cage and his dance partner for today’s pay-per-view card in UFC 279 is a veteran light heavyweight, Ion Cutelaba. Both the fighters guarantee fireworks inside the cage and rarely put on a show that is dull.
Johnny is coming off a loss to Jamahal Hill which was a devastating knockout defeat. The Brazilian is coming off two straight losses and will look to bounce back on the winning column with a victory over Ion tonight in the T-Mobile Arena. Johnny has a record of 18-7 heading into this fight and has put on some electrifying performances inside the UFC octagon.
Ion, on the other hand, is a veteran of the sport with a record of 16-7 heading into this fight against Johnny. The Moldovan light heavyweight has not been in the best of forms and is coming off a loss against Ryan Spann in his last fight. Cutelaba comes into the Walker fight with evil intentions and is looking to get back in the win column. This is the perfect fight to open the PPV card of UFC 279.

Round 1: A high kick from Johnny was blocked by Ion and a beautiful takedown. Walker definitely doesn’t want to be on the ground against Cutelaba. Fight immediately off to a battle on the mat. The Brazilian with no breathing space and gets caught in an arm bar. Great escape for Walker to get back on the feet and slam to the ground.

Ion is in great trouble as Walker goes for the choke. Cutelaba doing a good job of not getting submitted. Walker is finally under the neck of Ion and the referee taking a close look. Walker with an incredible finish and as Cutelaba is left with no option but to tap against the Brazilian. CRAZYYY from Walker to submit Ion.
Walker breaks his two-fight losing streak and is a wonderful way to get back in the win column! And a beautiful kiss to Cutelaba’s forehead after the finish too.
