Johnny Walker is one of the most exciting fighters on the UFC roster. Walker married Tara Campbell, an Irish woman. Johnny Walker and his wife were married on December 1st, 2022. Walker most recently competed at UFC 294 against Magomed Ankalaev in a fight that ended in No Contest due to some words lost in translation with the ringside physician.

Now, Walker posted a video on his Instagram trolling fans about beating his wife. This is what Walker captioned his Instagram video post:

Actually, in the video, Walker defeats his wife, Tara, in the video game UFC 5. In the video, Walker played with his Avatar while his wife played the Avatar of Anthony Smith. Walker won the video game with a jumping switch kick KO. It’s worth noting that Walker had already defeated Smith inside the octagon in the co-main event of UFC on ABC 4. Walker met his wife whilst he was in the Republic of Ireland to get improved MMA training. He met his now wife, Tara, whilst training at SBG Ireland under John Kavanagh, the head coach of Conor McGregor. Under Kavanaugh, Walker lost his first two bouts against Thiago Santos and Jamahal Hill. Since then, he reeled off three straight losses before the No Contest against Ankalaev at UFC 294.

Johnny Walker’s recent Instagram video post sent fans into a frenzy. In the video, Walker can be heard saying that he defeated his wife in the UFC 5 video game and jokingly mentioned beating her. This is a week after his unfortunate fight with Magomed Ankalaev that ended in No Contest. Ankalaev landed an illegal knee on Walker that forced the referee to call in the ringside physician. The physician caused some problems. He asked Walker where he was, to which Walker replied that he was in the desert. The physician took that as a sign of concussion and called the fight off.

In the aftermath of the No Contest, many, including Walker, have protested that it should have been a DQ loss to Ankalaev. Moreover, many believe it was a blatant foul by the Russian fighter. Furthermore, this was Ankalaev’s second consecutive fight that ended conclusively. His previous fight against Jan Blachowicz for the vacant light heavyweight title was declared a split draw at UFC 282.
