Jon Jones fought and defeated Dominick Reyes at the main event of UFC 247, after spending a decade at the top of the light heavyweight division, he gave up his belt to pursue bigger challenges. He changed his focus to getting in condition for heavyweight competition and prepared for his much anticipated heavyweight debut.
Even after a protracted hiatus, Jon isn’t frightened of a challenge since he aspires to be the best in this division. He announced on Twitter that he had used it to express himself he stated, “The greatest heavyweight of all time versus the greatest light heavyweight, who wants to see it? I’m game.”
He is saying that Stipe, who is also searching for a fight, is the person he wants to face. The champion will miss a year as he heals from his injuries. There has been talking of an internal title match in the category. This year, Dana White hopes to get Jon Jones back into the ring. According to White, Stipe’s comeback makes the most sense for him, according to a TMZ interview.

Chris Weidman claims it will be erroneous for the former light heavyweight champion to believe he will be larger and stronger than Miocic gave discussions about a potential matchup against Jon Jones, who has spent the previous two years fattening up.
During an interview with The Schmo, he stated, “I’ve trained with Stipe, he’s one of my boys, I was hanging out with him last night. Bro, he got big and he’s been doing it quietly. He’s like a solid 250 right now. Solid, 250, and whenever he decides to come back, he’s a problem.”
Jones recently took to Twitter wherein he stated, “At this point I’m looking to fight Stipe, I think it proves a lot more. Fighting a fairly one-dimensional fighter fresh off of knee surgery. I don’t know, I believe beating Stipe says more at this point”
Miocic last competed in March 2021, losing his title to Francis Ngannou in a rematch. There has been chatter about a potential interim championship match versus Jones that might occur next due to the current champion’s contract disagreement and following knee surgery.
