“Opens many doors,” Jon Jones finally reacts to rival Francis Ngannou’s INCREDIBLE performance against Tyson Fury

The MMA legend Jon Jones broke his silence about Francis Ngannou’s performance against Tyson Fury. Ngannou faced Fury in an MMA-Boxing crossover bout in Riyad, Saudi Arabia. The Cameroonian stood toe and toe with the experienced boxer and impressed everyone with his performance. As such, Jones took to Twitter to praise Ngannou.
Jon Jones answered a tweet that asked about his thoughts on Ngannou’s performance. Jones replied that Ngannou did great and the fight was competitive. He further added that this performance by Ngannou had opened a door for other fighters in the future. Here is what Jon Jones said:

Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou were supposed to fight earlier when the latter was still in the UFC. However, he left the UFC due to a dispute over his contract.
‘The Predator’ was the UFC heavyweight champion at the time, and the UFC tried to book a comeback fight for Jon Jones against him. Unfortunately, it never materialized. In Ngannou’s absence, Jones fought for the vacated heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane.
Jon Jones won the fight against Ciryl Gane in the first round to grab the heavyweight title. This performance after a three-year layoff cemented Jones’ legacy in the UFC. Currently, he was booked to fight the former champion, Stipe Miocic, for his first title defense. Regretfully, he pulled out of the fight due to an injury which led to the cancelation of the bout.

Jon Jones is considered the greatest of all time in mixed martial arts. His fight against Miocic for UFC 295 fell through because of an injury suffered in training. Now, he posted a tweet stating that he hated hard times, but loved to be the man to showcase tenacity and the ability to never give up.
Further, Jon Jones was defiant in the face of adversity. He warned his detractors and pledged to return better than ever. Here is what Jones said in the tweet:

Now, the UFC has put forth a fight between Tom Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich as a replacement for UFC 295. This fight is contested for an interim championship. However, Jones assured that he would face Miocic on his return.
