Jon Jones thinks about Stipe Miocic and the heavyweight bout way more than many fans would expect him to. Jones made his UFC heavyweight debut this year and defeated Cyril Gane, proving he’s the best fighter in the promotion’s history. However, it wasn’t enough, and Jones wanted to challenge the heavyweight GOAT, Stipe Miocic.
Finally, the UFC has scheduled the fight for UFC 295, and Jones has expressed that Stipe often comes into his head during his day-to-day activities. In a recent interview with the OverDog podcast, the fighter revealed that he thinks about fighting Stipe even when he is having s*x.
“At this point, I still get really nervous, man. I have nightmares about my opponents. About every hour, Stipe will cross my mind. I could be balls deep in some mmm mmm [laughs], and Stipe will cross my mind. I could be having a drink, I could be at my kids volleyball game, I’m thinking about Stipe.”
The podcast channel edited out this part of the interview, but they kept the parts where Jones explained thinking about Stipe Miocic during his personal time as well as when he was with his kids. According to Jones, it’s a mental battle that every fighter must go through to overcome the pressure and perform incredibly during the main fight.
Jon Jones talked about not fighting the young heavyweight title contenders anytime soon

The heavyweight division has some new title prospects, and fans are interested to see them fight for it against the mighty Jon Jones. However, according to the champion, he wants to cater to his legacy and the money aspect of the fights.
He said: “I have to speak because of my legacy, and the business…I need to fight people that the mainstream public is going to be excited about. When you’re in my position, there’s always going to be this new challenge that’s younger than you and everyone wants to see if you can do it one more time. But it is what it is.”
Jones is getting old and has established his legacy as one of the best of all time, and now, in his limited time, he plans to get big money fights and challenge legends such as Stipe Miocic rather than the young ones who will always want a shot at him. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see what happens after UFC 295. If Jones decides to continue fighting, he could possibly fight someone new.
