Jones has not fought in the octagon since UFC 247 in 2020. The fighter made his last title defense as a light heavyweight champion and defeated Dominick Reyes. The fighter decided to vacate the light heavyweight title and revealed he will be moving to the heavyweight division. And Jones has noticeably gotten huge and looks like a proper heavyweight.
Jones was initially supposed to fight last year but on account of disputes with the promotion over wages, the superstar refrained from fighting and sat out another year. Reports have been arising that suggest Jones will return in 2022 to fight former heavyweight and arguably the greatest heavyweight of all time, Stipe Miocic.
Dana White, the President of UFC has hinted that Jones’ return will be determined by how soon the champion of the division, Francis Ngannou can return to the octagon. A super fight between Jones vs Ngannou is the dream for all fight fans.
