Jorge Masvidal rips Conor McGregor
Jorge Masvidal believes he would defeat Conor McGregor easily if they ever fight. Conor McGregor is now close to making his UFC comeback after a year of hiatus due to his leg injury. The ‘ Mystic Mac’ is a fan favourite and will always attract massive attention when he steps into the octagon.
This makes his comment even more anticipated than ever. Fight fans are extremely excited to see the fighter comeback and be a part of a MMA contest. For his comeback, there are many fighters that have shown interest in fighting McGregor.
Top UFC lightweights such as Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler recently at UFC 274 called out McGregor for a fight. Other than them, Dustin Poirier, Jorge Masvidal, Nate Diaz are some of the other names who are in the short list of possible opponents for McGregor. Masvidal recently lost his bout against Colby Covington at UFC 272 and is currently looking forward to bouncing back from the upset.
Jorge Masvidal comments on fighting Conor McGregor
Masvidal recently gave an interview to ESPN Deportes in Spanish in which he discussed his current condition, possible comeback this year and the potential fight with Conor McGregor.
While speaking about the Mcgregor fight, Masvidal revealed that the Irishman knows that Masvidal hits hard. Masvidal claimed that in a fight doesn’t come to wrestle opponents but for knockouts. According to Masvidal, he is a little smaller in comparison to McGregor who is using steroids for gaining size. The ‘Gamebred’ is interested to continue fighting as a welterweight but will not wait for anyone,Not even McGregor. If the fight ever happens, Masvidal will break Mcgregor’s face.
” He knows that I am a man who hits hard and that I come to kill. I do not come to hug in the cage.I am going to give everything inside me to kill him. I have a little size, although now he’s shooting up and putting steroids and all kinds of things, but he is still a little boy. I would love to fight at 170 pounds, but I don’t wait for anyone. If he wants to do it, I’ll break his face. If he doesn’t want to do it, let someone come next.” said Masvidal.
Both Masvidal and McGregor are some of the biggest draws in UFC and have an incredible combined popularity. If the fight ever happens the pay-per-view sales will skyrocket and the UFC will be extremely interested in doing so.
