Jorge Masvidal has been talking a lot of trash about Conor McGregor, as both superstars are known for not liking each other. Masvidal is currently in a tough spot in the UFC, as the fighter has lost three of his last bouts consecutively. In his last grudge fight against Colby Covington, Masvidal was totally outclassed by the ‘Chaos’. After that, it seems like Masvidal has gained interest in fighting McGregor in his next fight.
Earlier, Masvidal clearly stated that he wanted to fight McGregor and get that easy money as his fight purse. However, McGregor has been extremely quiet about Masvidal. The Irishman has not shown any curiosity to fight Masvidal in his UFC return.
In a recent interview with Submission Radio, Masvidal explained that McGregor doesn’t want to fight him. Or else he would have already started personal trash-talking. Masvidal said, “Conor doesn’t want the fight. If he did he’d post something, he’d say something. He’d probably just insult my mom or some relative of mine or my nation where I come from.”
Conor McGregor and Jorge Masvidal’s Twitter feud intensifies
After Masvidal made that point in the interview, McGregor took to Twitter to give a cheeky yet savage reply. McGregor, in the tweet, called Masvidal a loser for thinking something like that. McGregor ended the tweet by sarcastically explaining that he and Masvidal’s mother get along quite well. “Insult your mom? What a loser you are mate. Me and your mom get along,” wrote McGregor.
Fight fans reacted to the tweet in a very amusing way as many thought it was a perfect comeback. There are many instances such as this in which McGregor has proven how hard it is for other fighters to win at verbal warfare against the ‘Mystic Mac’. However, Jorge Masvidal responded by saying, “Yeah my mom loves you man. She knows you are about to be the biggest paycheck for me and a relatively easy fight”.
Certainly, if Masvidal vs. McGregor ever happens, then it would have the potential to break many PPV records financially. Needless to say, both fighters would go home with bags full of money.
It’s hard to tell if the fight between Masvidal and McGregor will ever happen or not. However, if it ever happens, it would definitely be an amazing pay-per-view event.
