Jorge Masvidal eyeing a fight against Gilbert Burns if Conor McGregor’s fight fails to pan out

Jorge Masvidal is among the most famous MMA fighters in the world and he recently talked about his next fight in the octagon. Jorge Masvidal last stepped into the octagon to face his archrival and ex teammate Colby Covington. Masvidal was dominated throughout the match and he felt helpless against Colby’s superior grappling. After his loss against Colby, Jorge has hinted his return and also discussed his next potential opponent.
Jorge is currently on a 3 fight losing streak in the UFC, but his loss came against top welterweight fighters like welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and number one contender Colby Covington. Masvidal is currently unsure when he will make a comeback, but he revealed he might enter the octagon in November or December this year. Jorge also named a bunch of opponents that he would like to face upon his return and it seems he is eyeing the fight against former UFC double champ, Conor McGregor.
Jorge and his coach talked about a fight with Conor in past and claimed that a fight between the both fighters can be the biggest fight ever in the UFC history. In a recent conversation on the BlockParty podcast, Jorge said he would love to fight Conor, but if the fight does not materialise, he would also love to fight Gilbert Burns. Masvidal also named a few more opponents, including Stephen Thompson and Leon Edwards.

Jorge Masvidal offered insights to whether he will put his BMF title on the line in a fight against Conor McGregor. Jorge won his BMF title against Nate Diaz at UFC 244 in 2019 and that was also his last win in the UFC. Masvidal revealed he would be more than happy to put his belt on the line, but only if Conor meets certain requirements.
Masvidal revealed he would put his belt on the line only if a good amount of money was involved in the fight. Jorge earlier claimed that a fight against Conor would be the biggest money fight in the promotion, but he clarified he would dictate terms if the BMF belt has to be involved.

Jorge Masvidal is one of the name who is currently in a race to book a fight with Conor. Conor earlier revealed that he would return to the octagon soon and has even called out fighters like welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and lightweight fighter Michael Chandler. No fight has been booked yet for Conor and a fight with Masvidal is surely a possibility for the Irishman.
