Welterweight UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal is one of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster. The fighter is responsible for the fastest knock-out in UFC history against Ben Askren. Amassing a record of 35 wins and 17 losses, the Cuban fighter has gained huge success in combat sports.

In the successful UFC 287 event, Gilbert Burns vs. Jorge Masvidal was the co-main event. ‘The Gamebred’ lost the fight via decision. This was his 4th loss in a row. After the fight, Burns had accused Jorge of ‘greasing.” ‘Durinho’ accused Jorge of applying lotion to his skin to make it ‘slippery.’ Upon hearing this, Masvidal responded to the allegations.

In a recent episode of ‘The MMA Hour,’ Jorge denied the allegations made by Burns. When asked about it, Jorge said, “I have never greased, I have never been caught for cheating,” “Maybe I am the sweatiest motherf**ker he knows,” said Masvidal, indicating his sweat was slippery and not the lotion. The fighter went on to spite Burns, “Maybe he [Gilbert Burns] should blame his technique,” said Jorge Masvidal about Gilbert Burns’ grappling.

Jorge went into detail about the allegations. Jorge said, “The referee was there, touching me constantly and breaking us up, moving us around.” “You’re telling me he couldn’t tell if I greased?” questioned Masvidal. ‘The Gamebred’ has completely denied the ‘greasing allegations’ made by Burns at UFC 287.

In the post-fight press conference, Gilbert Burns accused Jorge Masvidal of ‘greasing.’ The fighter claimed that Jorge rubbed lotion on his body to be ‘slippery.’ ‘The Gamebred’ has come out and denied these allegations.

When asked about Jorge being slippery, ‘The Durinho’ said, “For sure he[Jorge Masvidal] did. 100% he did,” referencing the application of lotion. “I got to give it up to this guy. The guy has all the tricks,” said Burns. He later laughed off the accusations.

Gilbert Burns vs Jorge Masvidal ended up a split decision victory for ‘The Durinho.’ After retiring, Jorge Masvidal, the fighter is on to challenge the next welterweight competitor and move up in the UFC roster.
