“Too scared or too stupid” Jorge Masvidal ruthlessly responds to Conor McGregor’s comments

The fight between Jorge Masvidal and Conor McGregor is one that will always strike the right accord with fans of the sport. Both are charismatic fighters that have always produced exciting fights win lose or draw. However in recent years the stakes involved have reduced dramatically.
When the fight had initially been proposed way back in 2019, Jorge Masvidal was having the marquee year of his career with 3 consecutive knockout victories over bankable names like Darren Till, Ben Askren, and Nate Diaz. Conor on the other hand had returned to the UFC after the fiasco against Khabib Nurmagomedov to beat Cowboy Cerrone in 40 seconds. As both were technically in the welterweight division the fight between these two strikers was something everyone was keen to see.
However Dana White was always adamant about not carrying out the bout due to the size disparity between the two even going as far as to call it a mismatch. Now in 2022, both fighters have fallen drastically from the heights they had achieved before the pandemic. Jorge is on a 3 fight losing skid twice against Usman and once against former teammate Colby Covington, Conor on the hand has lost twice to Dustin Poirier, breaking his leg in their trilogy bout and being out of action ever since.

Jorge Masvidal thinks Conor McGregor is scared of facing him in the Octagon
The rivalry between the two however has not died down entirely with Masvidal still aiming for a bout with Conor while the Irishman has shown intentions of wanting to cut the line of contenders and challenge Kamaru Usman for the Welterweight title. Recently Conor McGregor took aim at Masvidal on Twitter calling him a “pigeon brain.” He said, “An absolute pigeon brain this guy is. Stupid beyond belief” Conor was probably referring to Masvidal’s legal troubles that started with an altercation with Covington at a steakhouse in Miami.
Today Masvidal has replied to those comments and took the opportunity to remind Conor how he is Conor’s only ticket back to relevancy. He said, “This pea brain is the biggest fight of your life.” While the statement could have been framed better as hardly fight Conor ever has will reach the heights of his bout against Mayweather in terms of sales, Masvidal is one of the top draws he can face in the UFC. Masvidal then alleged that Conor had either lost it or is fearful to not take the fight, saying, “you’re either too scared or too stupid to get this check.”
