After a three-loss streak, Jorge Masvidal was set to fight Gilbert Burns at UFC 287. Burns went on to beat Masvidal via decision, making this his 4th straight loss. In his post-fight speech, ‘The Gamebred’ had a few words for the former president Donald Trump in the audience and current president Joe Biden.
In the post-fight speech, Jorge said, “Greatest president in the history of the world,” pointing to Donald Trump in the audience. Masvidal then went on to spite Joe Biden by yelling, “Let’s go Brandon.” The phrase originated from conservative provocateurs who yelled “F*** Joe Biden,” which was misheard as ‘Let’s go Brandon.’ The phrase has become a staple for conservatives to insult the current president Joe Biden.
In a gruesome three-round fight against Gilbert Burns, Masvidal lost via decision. This was a tough fight for ‘The Gamebred.’ After this 4th straight loss, Jorge hinted at retirement in the same post-fight speech.

Recently, Donald Trump got arrested for falsifying business documents. ‘The Gamebred’ visited the former president at Mar-a-Lago after his arraignment. The Cuban fighter showed up to a Trump rally that was held in Florida. “I may not be schooled in a lot of these political issues like some of you, but I do know Latinos. Latinos are not lazy people looking for a handout. Latinos don’t want free stuff, we want freedom” said Jorge to the crowd.
The Cuban-American fighter has also supported Trump during the 2020 elections. The former president has also been seen supporting Jorge during his fights. At UFC 287, Trump was sitting in the audience to show his support. And, at a ‘Latinos for Trump’ event, he called Jorge “A real champion.”
By chanting ‘Let’s go Brandon,’ Jorge has shown his clear disdain towards Joe Biden. After his loss against Gilbert Burns, only time will tell on Jorge’s next move. ‘The Gamebred’ seems set on retirement.
