“Before he overdoses” Jorge Masvidal wants to fight Conor McGregor before cocaine destroys the Irishman

Jorge Masvidal and Conor McGregor have been eying to fight each other for almost 3 years now. The feud that took off after Conor’s return against Cowboy Cerrone has yet to provide any fruitful results in the octagon. This might soon change as Gamebred wants to be the one who ends McGregor before one of his vices do.
In an interview with the BLOCKPARTY podcast, Masvidal expressed why he needs to hurry in order to make a meaningful competition out of his rival. Masvidal and Conor are both on a losing streak, Masvidal having lost 3 in a row compared to McGregors skid of 2 fights. While the fight doesn’t have the same stakes as it did 3 years ago, it still is undoubtedly an easy cash-grab for the UFC.

Jorge Masvidal expresses interest in fighting Conor McGregor and Gilbert Burns
Revealing that he aims to make his return by November or December (The same time frame Conor anticipates to be back in action) Masvidal revealed why the urgency on his part to make this fight happen. He said, ““Before this guy overdoses on cocaine and the fight never happens then I don’t get to make all that easy money” He detailed on how it’s an easy fight with a high reward and though it doesn’t help with rankings he, “just wants to break Conor’s face.”
Ironically Masvidal feared Conor might harm himself or others causing his career to have a severe downfall, something Masvidal is experiencing himself due to his alleged assault on Colby Covington earlier in March. He said, “Let’s get that paycheck, let’s get that out of the way, sell the most pay-per-views ever before this guy does harm to himself or somebody else. “
Masvidal then said that he wants to earn the check because he has kids and needs the money. However, Conor is not the only fighter Masvidal has been aiming for. Welterweight contender Gilbert Burns has been eagerly calling out Masvidal, something the Miami native has reciprocated.
While Masvidal believes a win over Gilbert could put him right into title contention one last time, he has expressed interest in taking the fight based on each other’s styles alone. However, Masvidal may not need to worry about title contention as next-in-line Leon Edwards has promised to make his first defense against Masvidal to settle scores from the time he sucker-punched Edwards if he were to win the title.
