Julianna beat Amanda at UFC 269 at the end of 2021. Pena submitted the Brazilian champ via submission in the second round making it one of the biggest upsets in history. For her rematch, Pena wants to accompany the arguable greatest UFC fighter of all time, Jon Jones on his return to the octagon this year.

Jones is rumored to fight former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic in one of the upcoming PPV cards as he makes his much-awaited move to the heavyweight division. There is no doubt that the PPV card headlined by Jones will be doing massive numbers. What better way to top that off than adding the highly-anticipated rematch between Pena and Nunes.

“I don’t know. You know I haven’t heard anything, we’re still working on it. We don’t have a date,” said Pena on the confirmation of the rematch date. “I saw that Jon wants to come back this September and I thought that would be a great time, great card to jump on. I think that would be a great card to come back on.”

Jones has not fought in the octagon since UFC 247 in 2020. His last fight was a title defense against Dominick Reyes who almost beat the former light heavyweight champion. Jones has been working hard to become a heavyweight and he is confident that he can become a champion of the new division.

UFC President Dana White has revealed that Jon is most likely to come back and fight against former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic this Summer. What do you think of Julianna fighting in the same card as Jones?
