Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev went to war at UFC 286. It was a closely contested fight, with Gaethje coming out on top with a majority decision. The judges scored the contest 29-28, 29-28, and 28-28. With the victory, Justin Gaethje gets back to the winning column.

Rafael Fiziev was on a 6-fight winning streak before his loss to Gaethje. He comfortably won the first round. Fiziev utilized good body kicks and strikes to win the first round. But as soon as Justin Gaethje got comfortable, he lost momentum and was even bloodied.

Justin Gaethje was slower than usual to start the fight. But as soon as the second round started, he began to land strikes and took Fiziev out of his element. In the third round, he started landing the jabs more comfortably, which completely shifted the fight in his favor.

Justin Gaethje now finds himself in the contender spot after the victory. If he can put on a winning streak, fans will undoubtedly see him fight for the Championship again. Rafael Fiziev will now need to put on another winning streak before becoming a contender in the Lightweight division.
