Ahead of the fight, an old training footage of ‘The Highlight’ sparring has resurfaced on the internet. The video shocked the MMA circle since Gaethje absorbed a clean head kick from his teammate who appeared to be Muhammad Naimov.

In the video, Justin Gaethje and his teammate, Muhammad Naiomov, sparred inside a cage. During a particular sequence, Naimov caught Gaethje with a head kick flush to his chin. However, ‘The Highlight’ took the kick and continued to spar. Further, he exhibited no signs of the kick affecting him.

This video went viral among the fans since they misinterpreted it to be a new one. So, they were concerned about Gaethje’s participation in the upcoming fight with Max Holloway. However, it was evident this video was taken long back. To prove the point, Gathje recently embraced a clean-shaven look, and the sparring video showcased him with a grown-out beard.
