Justin Gaethje is one of the nastiest leg kickers in MMA. Even accomplished fighters like Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier couldn’t stop Gaethje from attacking their legs. “The Highlight” is the current BMF champion in the UFC. Recently, a video was uploaded by the YouTube channel Fullsend MMA.

The video showed Gaethje receiving a leg kick from a friend, following which the BMF champion winced in pain. Moreover, It was a fun video to see Gaethje getting a taste of his own medicine. Even though he lost the first fight against Poirier, Dustin Poirier admitted that he felt the most pain after his fight with Gaethje.

Even Khabib Nurmagomedov admitted that Gaethje hit harder than anybody else that he has ever fought. Gaethje, who is on a two-fight win streak over ranked contenders, is waiting for the winner of the UFC lightweight title between Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev.

Oliveira has already beaten Gaethje in their fight. The latter is currently ranked second in the lightweight rankings. Along with Dustin Poirier, he has been at the top of the rankings in the division. He is widely known as the human highlight in reference to his action-packed fighting style.

Jorge Masvidal calls out Justin Gaethje to defend the BMF title

Justin Gaethje is the current holder of the BMF belt. The belt’s first owner is none other than Jorge Masvidal. Recently, during an interview with Marc Raimondi from ESPN, Masvidal iterated his interest in fighting “The Highlight.”

Masvidal was not serious about it but was saying it out of curiosity. Moreover, he praised Gaethje for being worthy enough to hold the lightweight strap. Masvidal retired from the UFC after UFC 287. He is now running a successful MMA and boxing promotion in Miami. In Miami, he is a big proponent of the policies of Ron DeSantis and also of Donald Trump.

The chances of a Masvidal vs. Gaethje fight happening are extremely low. Both fight in different weight divisions, and Masvidal holds a significant size advantage over the natural lightweight in Justin Gaethje.
