“Don’t underestimate me”, Kai Kara-France warns his opponents not to overlook him
France recently did an interview with Niko Pajarillo from Fox Sports Australia where he was asked about being the underdog in all his fights.
While responding to the question, France strongly mentioned that people shouldn’t take him lightly. The fighter explains underestimating him would end badly for others. France then went on to reveal that he was bullied as a kid for his size and personality. Back then people thought he was weak but now he’s evolved into one of the best fighters in the world. The Kiwi then thanked his childhood bullies for helping him to embrace his journey as a MMA fighter.
” Don’t underestimate me. Don’t over look me coz it’s probably the wrost thing you could do and it definitely brings me back to my childhood when I used to get bullied for my size. Um, being you know, shy and timid. People saw that as a weakness and um, now look at me I’m one of the most best fighters in the world and I guess I can thank those bullies for putting me on this journey to where I am,” said Kara France.
Childhood trauma often leads to individuals having a great motivation to be better than their past self. In the case of fighters, these things can be used as the fuel to train hard and become the best in the game. France is a classic example of how initial hardships in career and help produced amazing fighters.
