Mohammed Usman gets hate from fight fans after poking the eye of his opponent at UFC Vegas 79. Usman fought his third UFC fight last night and defeated opponent Jake Collier via unanimous decision. During the fight, both fighters were going back and forth and it was entertaining for the fans.
Early in the fight, Mohammed tried his best to score multiple takedowns and in reply, Collier was connecting the jabs. However, in the second round, Usman accidentally poked Collier in the right eye, causing the fight to pause. Jake Collier expressed his frustration and discomfort by hitting the canvas.
After a four-minute break and a medical examination, Jake was permitted to resume the fight. He returned by targeting Usman’s legs, despite having a cut near his left eye. Usman, on the other hand, was finding success with his jab and seemed to have found his rhythm.
Certainly, the eye poke incident had a massive impact on Collier’s performance, causing a noticeable decline in his abilities as the fight progressed. It became evident that he struggled to regain his composure and focus after the unfortunate incident. This turn of events played right into Usman’s hands, as he skillfully capitalized on Collier’s vulnerability to secure a victory via unanimous decision. This win has put Usman on a three-fight win streak but fight fans are definitely not happy about it.

After the fight was over and the winner was announced, Mohammed Usman got a lot of criticism for the eye poke. Many fans claimed that the fighter deliberately did it because he wanted some time to recover.

Fans were furious and claimed that Usman’s eye was very dirty and wasn’t professional. Many compared Muhammed to his younger brother, Kamaru Usman, who already has a record for eye pokes against Colby Covington. Fans mocked the Usman brothers for using PEDs and dirty fighting.
